1. Vinyl Siding is Expensive.

   1. Anything can be expensive if you are gullible enough to pay way too much for it.

2. If you get vinyl siding, you’ll never have to paint again.

   1. You won’t have to paint your vinyl siding BUT you will have to paint your Eves and Overhangs (soffits) UNLESS you choose to get those covered also.

3. We’re running a special on vinyl siding and if you sign tonight you’ll get an incredible 50% off.

   1. This is simply just a pressure tactic.  Some siding salesmen use it because … well … it works.  But don’t fall for it.

4. With our vinyl siding your heating bill will go down 50%.

   1. For the average homeowner this just isn’t true … unless you have gaping holes in your walls.
      You will most likely see energy savings but most likely not anything like 50%.
      Why?  Because the temperature outside wants the temperature inside of your home to be the same (temperature equalization).  And it will take the path of least resistance which includes your windows, doors and roof.  The insulation properties of your roof, windows & doors would need to be outstanding and your siding would need to be outrageously bad to pull off a 50% heating bill reduction.  I’m not saying it’s impossible but it’s very unlikely.

5. Anything with “Exclusive” described about a vinyl siding product.

   1. Exclusive Vinyl Siding products are typically just a way for some companies to raise prices, sell you on their exaggerated product benefits and make it so YOU CAN’T PRICE SHOP.  I’ve NEVER seen the best vinyl siding products as exclusives.  I’ve seen good vinyl siding products as exclusives but never the best and  I’ve seen entire product lines ‘renamed’ and sold as exclusives.  At any rate, exclusives are usually by region and on specific product lines.  Example: a foam backed 16′ panel might be an exclusive whereas the 12′ version is not.  Example’s Conclusion: you pay twice the price for the 16′ version for a few less laps on your house … that’s hardly worth it, IMPO.
      RULE OF THUMB: Always Shop Around!  Always Get Comparison Estimates!  Whether you get estimates from us or anybody else.
