have a stucco home in Florida. The upper gables, which are to be sided,  have t1-11 on two sides and one side has Hardi-panel. What, if anything, should I put om top of the T1-11 and/or Hard-panel prior to laying the vinyl? I am hearing different suggestions such as to using nothing, or tyvex wrap, or a corrugated plastic material supposedly to prevent mold, or just painting the surface with Kilz. One side has some rotted T1-11. Would it be better to pull it all down and side over the truss or just replace the damaged wood and side over that? I just want to do the job right the first time. Are all vinyl siding materials produced today about the same quality?
